According to Valdes, 1996, to the years 1983 to 1985, could see the little work to promote awareness of environmental values and low protectionist activities of some ecosystems of great value for its high endemism such as the mountain by students, teachers, professors and people in general. In this plan, attended and jerarquerizado by the Government of Cuba, was conceived the need the need for environmental protection and implementation of environmental education, as a community process and the interrelation between the work of teacher, doctor family and the engineer. Thus, in the 1987-1991 period, we introduced a new curriculum, which incorporated the education curriculum environmental and general education content, however, this reform did not result in sufficient curricular development of environmental education in the educational process in rural primary schools and mountain.
